QUALITY
Most manufactures use vinyl tape graphics for a boot stripe or to mask the line between two adjacent gel colours. Regal is one of few production manufactures that do not use taped-on graphics. Gelcoat graphics provide superior finish that last longer than vinyl and Regal’s in-mold graphics won’t wear, tear or crack over time. A Regal’s finish will remain the same for seasons to come.
Regal only uses 316-grade stainless hardware (bolts, screws, staples, latches, hinges, bow rails, hand rails, windshield stanchions). More importantly, stainless is used in areas where customers rarely peek – staples and bolts in upholstery, through bolts at structural bulkheads, for example. Stainless is the most durable metal for marine use. It adds to the quality and longevity of the Regal product.
Regal has been recognized by the most respected consumer research firms as an industry leader. Winning many awards. Including receiving 6 J.D. Power awards and 36 prestigious CSI awards from the National Marine Manufacturers Association. Customers not familiar with the marine industry can look to the far-reaching examples of J.D. Powers’ influence. The company’s independent survey offers an objective ownership perspective of the quality and satisfaction experienced.
Typical boats use anodized aluminum for the windshield frame and header, whereas Regal uses stainless headers for models 23 to 33 feet. Stainless is stronger, more durable and more appealing than aluminum counterparts.
Many competitive manufactures will use aluminum stanchions on smaller boats (19’ to 22’). If they do use stainless, it is either pop-riveted together or fashioned with a ball-and- socket fit. Regal uses custom one-piece, stainless windshield stanchions for a perfect fit and increased strength.
Competitors extended V-plane and notched hulls don’t decrease drag when running through water. Only a full mid-beam step reduces drag. Why don’t competitors’ hulls feature a full mid-beam step? Regal holds a patent. Independent tests verify that FasTrac hulls boast higher speeds and better fuel economy than boats of similar length, weight and propulsion. For Example – The FasTrac hull design works in two ways. First, the full mid-beam step introduces air under the running surface through conical hull induction. This air reduces friction and drag, which leads to faster speeds and better fuel economy. Second, the “Trac” portion of the hull is created by inverted running strakes and multiple, overstated chines. These cause the boat to track straight, turn sharp and never allow the boat to “slide” underway.
Every Regal model is designed with a unique, individual hull design. If you look through the cruiser and yacht line specs, you’ll notice that the deadrise varies from model to model. This is because the precise running angle is determined with 3D modeling to match the weight and boat dimensions. This angle is carried mid-ship to stern. By using the same angle mid-ship to stern, the ride remains consistent in varying sea conditions. A balanced load means the boat remains steady, stable and predictable through tight turns.
The Single Level Cockpit Sole offers a sprawling and luxurious cockpit layout on every Regal Yacht. The single level cockpit sole in our Sport Coupes keeps guests within eye and ear shot of each other anywhere they sit.
Our 38-oz marine vinyl features a foam memory backing. This makes the seat more firm than its competitors, but does not allow the vinyl to stretch and lose its shape. Regal’s cockpit vinyl will retain its shape and remain easy to clean while resisting fading and mildew.
Finally, all functions can be integrated into one or multiple touch screens without having to install several other instruments and components. For you, it means a clean and easy-to-use dash- board with enhanced overview and control. Integrated with the EVC system, the Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit gathers all navigation and engine information in one spot.
